Below are example of the video gallery options. With Squarespace, setting things up is very easy, but there are always compromises for the ease of use. The top option here shows a play-in-the-page gallery, where the videos play right in the area they occupy on the page. You also have the option to view the video full-screen, but the shortcoming here is that the only text that can be displayed with the video is the title. The title can be as long as you want it to be, but the text visible is in a single block.
This second video gallery grid is called a Summary because it allows you to show more content than just the title - you can show a text excerpt, the date, tags, categories, etc. The drawback here is that this type of gallery does not allow for in-page play - when the item is clicked, it opens up full-screen in a “lightbox.”
